Badenoch and Clark is currently recruiting for a Technical Accountant to join its large blue chip client based near Eastbourne. Reporting to the Financial Accounts Manager you will support the Financial Accounts team with all reporting under IFRS, including statutory accounts and provisions and keeping up-to-date with IFRS. Key accountabilities: preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS; liaison and provision of information to external Auditors; regular review and calculation of provisions; researching and informing of any changes to IFRS and their relevance to the business; ongoing review of calculations and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards; review and improvement of nominal ledger and related functionalities; review and improvement of month end tasks; work with Group function to maintain accurate and efficient reporting at group level; any ad hoc tasks as requested by the Financial Accounts Manager or Financial Controller; to work with team to achieve quality and to adhere to deadlines. Skills/experience and qualifications: strong problem solving, analytical and numerical skills to rapidly develop insights and conclusions to complex arguments, and strong presentation skills to clearly communicate recommendations; ACCA/ACA qualified Accountant; strong understanding of UK GAAP and international accounting standards is essential.
