Data Processing Executive
Westgate, 25-35k
The Role
Overall Objective:
To be responsible for all the daily production and operation requirements of the panel service, these being the correct
functioning of all hardware and software systems that are necessary for 'Data Processing' and 'Reporting'.

Principal Responsibilities:
The Data Processing Executive has several key responsibilities;
1. The daily handling of the data returned by the meters installed in panel homes, and the processing of that data to
produce the output files for the clients.
2. The maintenance and operation of the systems used to collect and process the meter data and the TV channel audio
comparison data used in the daily audience data production process.
3. To liaise with the panel management team for data operations queries.

Candidate Specification

There are three members of the Data Operations Team handling this project.
The candidate will have to be able to demonstrate proven experience of working in a data processing environment with
regular production or commercial pressures. The relevant set of skills, knowledge and experiences required is highlighted
below

Essential Skills
* Oracle administration skills and some experience of SQL.
* Installing third party software and upgrades.
* Using network/host monitoring tools such as Nagios.
* Experience in Linux OS or Unix.

Desirable Experience
* Experience of setting up a new IT project.
* Experience and training in network administration.
* Some knowledge of Shell Scripting.
* Some knowledge of Infosys, or other audience data analysis software.


Other information
Working Hours
Full time hours include:
34.75 hours per week (Early finish on Fridays).
The candidate should also be flexible as out of hours work may be required.
