Unique and exciting role (October 2012) with a premier international Renewable Energy company who are seeking a talented lawyer to head up the legal function in their Cape Town office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in-house and get in at the ground floor at a cutting edge, international energy company as their lead lawyer in South Africa.

The company has been selected by the South African Department of Energy for various wind power projects and as a leader in green electricity production, focused on wind and solar photovoltaic energy, their combined technical knowledge and experience has seen them developing renewable energy projects in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

You will ideally be SOUTH AFRICAN qualified with a strong commercial background and at least 4+ years of experience at a leading law firm / energy company. You will need to demonstrate a strong experience across the following areas:

Corporate Law: Joint Venture Agreements, incorporation of Companies...
Project Finance
Finance Contracts
Construction Contracts
Power Purchase Agreements
