Job Elements: -
* Contract role to join the purchasing team of a successful manufacturing organisation during a period of transition due to a major supply chain project.
* Day to day duties will be to liaise with vendors in order to expedite the material required to meet the manufacturing schedule.
* Target is to release purchasing capacity so that a major re-sourcing project can be achieved on time.
* Usage of the SAP materials function will be key to success in this role as will the ability to communicate verbally, via email and via telephone to vendors in a world wide supply chain.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience gained within a manufacturing environment
* Highly SAP literate
* Confident dealing with suppliers
* Ability to manage high volumes of parts/transactions
